The National Health Authority (NHA), under its flagship scheme of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), has redesigned the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) mobile application of the Government of India (GoI) with a new User Interface (UI) and added new functionalities.

Users can now create their ABHA Address using multiple options such as Mobile Number, Email ID, or the 14-digit ABHA Number. They can also link and share their records after providing consent.

The ABHA Card Number app provides individuals with a comprehensive view of their health records, with the option to link and share through the ABDM network of various healthcare facilities and providers.

The ABHA Card Yojana - ABHA Number app is currently available in Hindi and English and will soon be accessible in other languages.

ABHA Fundamentals

1. What is an ABHA Number:
   - The 14-digit ABHA number uniquely identifies you as a participant in India's digital healthcare ecosystem, providing a strong and trustworthy identity accepted by healthcare providers and payers nationwide.
2. What is an ABHA Address:
   - The ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) Address is a unique identifier (self-declared username) that allows you to digitally share and access your health records. For example, 'yourname@consent manager' could be your ABHA address. For instance, xyz@abdm is an ABHA address with ABDM Consent Manager, facilitating your health data exchange with consent on the ABDM network.
3. Linking ABHA Number with ABHA Address:
   - You can seamlessly sign up for an ABHA address using your ABHA number, ensuring that your health records are shared only with you. To enable health data sharing, it is recommended to create an ABDM ABHA address and link it with your ABHA number.
4. Voluntary Opt-out:
   - You can voluntarily participate by creating your ABHA number. At any time, you can request permanent deletion or temporary deactivation of your ABHA number.
